16 Sep Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme
The national flu immunisation programme aims to provide direct protection to those who are at higher risk of flu associated morbidity and mortality. The following groups are eligible to receive the flu vaccination at the surgery.
Immunisations are available from the 1st September for:
•all children aged 2 & 3 (born between 01/09/18 & 31/08/20)
•all children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years
•pregnant women
Starting from 1st October, eligibility will expand to include:
•those aged 65 years and over
•those aged 18 years to under 65 years in a clinical risk group
•those who reside in long stay residential homes
•carers
•close contacts of immunocompromised individuals frontline health & social care staff
All eligible patients will receive an invitation via SMS which will enable you to book your own appointment online. Patients who do not have a mobile number recorded or dissent to receiving SMS messages, letter invites will be sent.
You can attend the drop in Saturday morning clinics, clinic times are run between 8.30am – 1.00pm
CLAYTON: Saturday 4th October 2025
ALLERTON: Saturday 11th October 2025
You can attend for your immunisation at either site.
Any patients registered as housebound will automatically be visited during October.
