Appointments

We offer appointments with all our clinicians throughout the course of the week via a telephone triage system. Some of these appointments may be outside of the traditional surgery hours of Monday – Friday 8am to 6pm. Please ask at your specific site for further information in regards to extended hours.

The telephone lines are currently available 8.00am-12.00pm & 1.00pm-6.00pm Monday to Friday. Between the hours of 12.00pm-1.00pm patients who telephone the surgery and require urgent medical assistance, your call will be directed to an Out of Hours provider.

As from Thursday 9th December the telephone lines will be closed from 12.00pm and will re-open the following morning at 8.00am. This will be alternated every week, the following week will be Wednesday 15th December and so forth. Patients will again be directed to an Out of Hours provider.

What we offer

Appointments with a GP/ANP/ACP are no longer available to book direct. Our Patient Service Administrators are trained to Care Navigate and help direct you to an appropriate service according to your needs.

All of our appointments will be telephone triaged by our clinicians, face to face appointments will be arranged by the clinician if deemed appropriate.

If an appointment is required with a Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant these can be booked routinely and in advance by speaking to one of our Patient Services Administrators.

Unable to attend

If you are unable to attend an appointment then please inform us with plenty of time so that we may offer this appointment to another patient. If you fail to attend 3 times in any 6 month period we will contact you to inform you that any further non attendance may result in your removal from our practice list.

To cancel an appointment you can do this by texting your name, DOB & appointment details to 07596 506843, please note this mobile number is for cancelling appointments only. Any other requests will not be dealt with.

Text Message Confirmation

We offer a service where we can confirm appointments and test results via text messaging. In order to do this you need to consent to the SMS text messaging service. It will be your responsibility to keep the practice informed of your up to date mobile telephone number. If you do not consent into this service then test results can be obtained by telephoning the surgery after 1pm.

In order to help you access appointments we offer online appointment booking. Please register for online services with a member of our patient services administration team at the reception desk.

You have the right as a patient to express a preference of clinician and where possible we will always endeavour to accommodate this. However, there may be times where we advise for you to see a different clinician, either due to a change in hours or due to staff leave.

More information about appointments with the extended access service

The service is run by Bradford Care Alliance, which represents all GP practices in the Bradford area. Medical appointments are with GPs and other healthcare staff who work in the area; so your appointment may not be with a clinician from this practice.

To use the service we will ask for your consent to share your medical record and our reception staff will explain what this means and why it is necessary. Click here to learn more about how and why we process your information.
